Abukloi Health provides a dedicated nurse and school clinic for our students. Through food security initiatives, we provide a daily meal for our students and teach sustainable farming practices and techniques in our school and community gardens.

At Abukloi Secondary School, health, nutrition, and education work together to create opportunities for lifelong success. Through the generosity of donors, the school maintains a dedicated nurse and a well-equipped clinic that delivers vital healthcare and promotes student well-being throughout the school year. Every month, our nurse delivers essential care to over 100 students, tackling flu, malaria, and other illnesses.

Food Security

Many students come from communities where food insecurity remains a significant challenge. In a world where one meal a day is the norm, an additional daily meal at school can significantly reduce the rate of malnutrition.

Abukloi's garden programs are designed to serving as a training center for the students and the community. Neighboring women cultivate the school grounds which improves community nutrition and provides food for the school. The gardens serve as a living laboratory for sustainable agriculture. Through hands-on experience, students learn farming techniques while gaining valuable skills that can help address food insecurity and support economic development.
